In My Silence

They push me in a corner

And I begin to scream

But nobody can hear me

In this nightmare of a dream

Thick digits are sticky

From unrolling the noose

The duct tape that will keep my

Thoughts from getting loose

The bitterness encloses

My lips just like a seal

New fingers add new layers

And wounds that never heal

But they have all forgotten

The hands behind my back

With ink they find the courage

My vocal chords do lack

Webby lines of spider silk

Stain paper white as snow

They tell my future, present, past

For all the world to know
