My Shadow Never Goes.

Soft

of the summer breeze in Michigan

The leaves of the trees dance and sing

Gentle

like warm waves over my skin

his finger tips light sparks in my heart

Jumping

Beaming

Glow

Fire

They spark

My breath is calm

like the waves

in his arms

His shelter

His saftey

Like my shadow he watches from a far

And when the ground get too hot he provides my feet shade

Cool

Relief

I suppose I'm not there yet

I see the glimmer in his eyes

Slightly I fear the sight

Bigger than my own reprise

I jump from top of the building that I've worked so hard to build.

My eyes closed

I notice that I don't know

The wind crashing into my being

Surrender control

Although my body's falling

My shadow never goes.
