My Roots and my Petals:

My petals are full of light

My petals have room to grow

I guess those parts are alright

But, there is a side of my petals that you

May never know

When my petals are cold

They stand dark and alone

A resemblance to black mold

As cold as stone

Though my petals grow dark

and angry with fright

My roots are the part

That show me the light

My roots are of mystery

You don’t know what’s inside

You’ll never know my history

You only see the outside

So stay where you are

You are perfect right there

You are best from afar

Don’t feel my despair
