On My Own

On My Own

There’s a time in your life

when the skies aren’t so blue,

and the sun doesn’t shine so bright

There’s a time in your life

When there’s no more mommy and daddy;

no more brother or sister

Just you

Lost

Is the correct word

No idea of what to do,

or where to go

So many suggestions

You should do this

You should do that

But no one really knows

Time to be a big girl

Time to fight the big big world

Because your all on your own

This poem is about:
Me
My family
Our world
