My Other Self

By day, I am someone important.

I am a scholar, a mentor, an innovator.

I am someone people love to be around. I am a joker, a confirmist, a comforter.

I am a helper, a lover, a laugher. I am me.

It warms me to know I help,

but sometimes I like to let my other self out.

She is the opposite of myself. She is many things. But I am she, and she is me.

By night, I am an explorer, a scientist, an inventor.

I am an artist, a punk rock star, a world-class chef.

I am a cat, an assassin, the most charming pursuader.

I am a warden, a lieutenant, a sargent, a soldier. I am a doctor, a diary, a gladiator.

I dont have an occupation,

yet I am everything I want to be.

My alternate is my opposite.

But I am she. And she is me.
