what i have,

going to school everyday

seeing sad faces

depressed kids everywhere

why?

they have their own problems

drama

family issues

getting betrayed by friends

suicidal thoughts.

I've heard it all

and I've never had suicidal thoughts

but problems, yes,

many,

but i survive

and stay happy

no matter what

people want to know my secret.

i say,

im happy because i do things i love everyday

take leadership

and lots of responsibilities

all around school.

i barely ever go home

to see my dog

my siblings

my parents

because i have a huge passion for work.

something i have been doing for 3 years already

until...

you forget how old you are, 

still 16

until...

you find out,

its too much

youve reached your limit

and you cant take any more of it

you blow up

break down for hours 

behind the school

call your friend

and cry

and cry

and cry

because youve realized

its no longer fun anymore

if all you do is stress

and you arent able to see your family 

so youre forced to leave things behind

things you actually love doing

and then for what?

all they will see you as is a quitter

that they cant rely on you anymore

but you needed to realize

that didnt matter

you happiness matters

thats my motivation

all i want

is to be happy
