My Mother's Hands

Shaped me,
made me whole and one with her,
At her bosom tended me sweetly,
And with great care.
Blessed am I to know the hands of a sculptor,
Beautiful, the lines of which
Carry stories of laughter, stories of work,
And love.
This poem is about:
Me
My family
