My Mistakes

For all the poor choices I made—

The wrong words I said or

The mean actions I performed—

I would not take back any of them

Mistakes are a double-edged sword

They are destructive yet fundamental building blocks

That add to my character and personality every day

For all the mistakes I have made

For all that they have lost me

I have gained two-fold in wisdom

Mistakes are what make me who I am today

A person that I love and appreciate—someone I am proud of

So, why in the world would I want to change that?
