Let's go to the sea you and me, on the beach we'll both feel free. With the wind blowing lightly and the sun shining brightly, say you'll go with me!
Although you may not care, I'm here at this fair waiting patiently for you. With my heart in my hands and here in these dreamlands; but I guess my hopes were askew.
Please don't be so unkind, I thought you wouldn't mind, now that I have gone before you. I did try to resist, but death did dismiss, now I must say bye or adieu!

I love when poems take a twist at the end that I never would have expected. It was such a beautiful love poem and yet at the same time about death. Very easy to relate to because even death takes a person, but not the love away.

Inspired by a Jane Austen Work, Persuasion. I have always loved classic poetry.
