To my happiness

Mon, 02/26/2018 - 14:53 -- adaly

Dear happiness,

You and I we have a strange relationship.

It’s constantly on and off.

You’re here one day and gone the next.

It seems as if you never plan on staying.

Don’t you understand how desperately I need you in my life, happiness?

Most days I struggle to find you.

You are too much hidden behind the rubble of my crap day.

Are you trying at all, happiness?

Are you trying to crawl into the light and come back to me?

Because, Happiness, I desperately need you.

My life is dark, gloomy, and full of suffocating smoke without you.

I understand that there will be off days,

But I would much rather have off days than not have you in my life at all.

I don’t want this strange relationship anymore, happiness.

I need us to work.

Otherwise what’s the point?
