My Fairy Godmother

I have a secret, I pray

Swear you will not tell:

I have a fairy godmother

Who loves me very well.

You won’t believe me if I say it,

But she has magic powers.

She grants my wishes if I need them,

And she always smells of flowers.

She is dear and she is kind,

All fairy tenderness and light.

Nothing makes warm the day

Better than her smile bright.

She is guardian of my soul,

Protectress of my walls.

Inside my heart forever,

Always ready when I call.

I have a secret (do not tell)

Sweeter than buds of May:

I have a fairy godmother

I love more than I can say.
