My Cat's Been Dead For A While Now
My cat's been dead for a while now
Her nocturnal fur burned into dust
As her organs did combust
And eyes and nose turn into puss
And fuss she brought to my mother dear
And brought her mounds of chilling fear
(We can't have that, her end's quite near)
And here we are with a much younger cat
One who won't amount to that
But I guess this virulent and callous rat
Won't bat a zero in this house.
So that cat will be dead soon
God help my mother after that
For then she can't get another cat -
They're just feathers in her hat
That's sat on top of her doghouse.
