Music to my ears

I heard it once and stole my soul,

Its deep, soft melody felt like home.

I tried and close my eyes,

And it caught me with soft, sweet hands.

It carried me through deep, blue seas,

And gave me wings to fly.

It helped me find my way,

In this harsh path called life.

It gave me hope to fight,

When vacuity filled my heart.

And gave me a big, bright smile,

When there only was a dull, grey sky.

Now I find myself much better,

With great meaning in my life.

After all, what’s a journey,

Without music in your heart?
