Music and I

Loud music playing, flowing in my head
Through my headphones, outside noises are blocked.
Singing out loud, when I arise from bed
All my problems and confusions are stopped.
Music is my ease, a new way of life.
I listen close to the message it hides
Like it is my husband and I’m his wife
Melodies shared by a groom and his bride.
I hear music in every breath I take
And embrace it in every single verse
I feel the life in every step I make
And if music dies, I’ll be in the hearse
We are connected, mind, body, and soul.
For without music, I cannot be whole
