A Mother's Love Gone Wrong

It's such a shame when the open palm that reached out for what you have,

Retracts itself when you start to reach out and grab,

Desperate for just a little affection.

As if you have to pay money just to get them to pay attention.

I tell you it's so sad.

They way that they treat you makes me steaming mad.

You raised them since the day they were born.

You loved them when they felt forlorn.

You gave them chance after chance, break after break.

You gave them everything and all they did was take.

Now we can't tell what's worse;

How selfish they are?

Or how the next generation is learning ask later take first?
