A Mother's Actions

When I see my mother,

a kind and hardworking soul,

I find inspiration.

It is not only in these characteristics,

But,

the ways she lives these in her everyday life.

The challanges that continously try and knock her down

- Bills, Debt, Pain, Suffering, Hunger . . .

She is not in fear when she gets berated with each of these at every turn of her day.

I find power and inspiration in the ways that she handles these issues,

with grace, heart and humanity.

My mother is a selfless woman, who takes on many responsibilities,

but, she always looks forward,

Strong, curageous and kind.

Even when the hardest and darkest days arise,

she is there to conqure them.

It is through my mother that I find the type of person I want to become,

Someone who will take on other people's pain,

so that they are able to prosper and thrive in the face of darkness and adversity.

It is through my mother's love and compassion for me and my future,

that I even have a future.

And,

that is what I want to put into the world,

Each and every day I feel enlightened by her actions

to take on each day with strength and love.

Even on the darkest of days, where the world won't let up,

it is in my mother's actions that I find a will to fight on.

She is my light, and the role model of how I see my future,

As someone who there for others, and will do anything in their path

to make someone else's better.

It is through my mother, that I am the person I am today, tomorrow and in the years to come.
