Mother, My Mother

Mother, My Mother,

You are unlike any other.

Working hard to put meals on the table,

And keep the household stable.

Hugging me when I'm sad,

And talking me down when I'm mad.

Mother, My Mother,

You never seem to pother.

Your life has given you hard times,

And moments without dimes.

Because of you,

The future is in the mold of my view.
