Mother

I see the pain and struggle through your eyes from each and every breath you take.
Struggling to pick up the pieces from the shattered glass around you
These pieces are what you call your world, your life, your everything.
Even though we both know that the picture will not ever look the same again
You have been marked by the beast.
It is going to get better you say
I know you are lying
You are dying
I need you to see through the foggy images called family.
Leave.
Be you and only you now and forever.
Open the already cracked door and free yourself from the violence that is engraved in your mind as the norm.
I need you to see it for yourself.
You are more and everything to me
Giving your heart and body to spread around us being our cloak of protection.
I have seen the ways of the beast.
Save yourself for I know its sweetness will not last in the evening time.
You are more.
You are my mother.
