The Most Beautiful Girl

It was a warm summer day,

And I was packing my backpack,

To go home for the day,

Off the beaten track.

As I looked up,

And turned to leave,

This bright face lit up,

A smile that put me at ease.

She had long curly hair,

And gorgeous brown eyes,

I've never seen anyone like her,

She became my heart's desire.

At first I was nervous,

And I avoided making eye-contact,

With the one that gave me purpose,

So I had to be tact.

Eventually we conversed,

In a small group setting,

She was witty and well-versed,

Her words were soothing.

As we continued to talk,

I found out she was a dancer,

This girl could do more than walk,

She is the answer.

Short and sweet,

Lovely and happy,

Nice and neat,

She is my fancy.
