More Than That

First a great friend,

Forever till the end,

Then we slowly started to talk,

And our lives began to rock,

Our lives began to collide,

Now we’re in for quite the ride,

As it’s in you that I confide,

But you always say that I don’t want you,

But that’s just it I actually really do,

So why can’t you just see,

See that we’re meant to be,

See our future legacy,

Now we both have made it pretty far,

And if we decide to end it-- it’ll leave quite the scar,

So I’m going to ask you,

Do you want to see it through,

Or are you going to keep pushing me away,

Causing my feelings to kind of stray,

To be totally honest—I don’t want this to end,

I don’t just want to be your friend,

I want to be more than that,

I want to be your boyfriend,

I want to be more than that still,

I want to be your life,

I want to be the one you whisper goodnight to late at night,

I want to be the person you go to when you need someone there,

I want to be that one person who always cares.
