Moonlit inspiration

The darkness envelopes me
All the colors combine together
And offer me a place of solace
But precariously hiding from the weather
I flee to the shadows
And dare them to try and tame my imagination
But they call out my name in The hoarsest whisper
Letting me wrap myself in a safety blanket
Soothing absence of light
No Foreigner to my plight
The bleakest blackness lives inside
The walls that imprison me
Crawling things agree with me
When logs are overturned
You can see them wiggle
You can watch them squirm
As they return to shadows of the Earth
My eyes adjust as I write precociously
By the tender loving care of the Moon
Everything is quite relaxing
When like a lover i am swooned
Thoughts materialize
From the tranquility within me
They come like blossoms bloom
Well after a refreshing springtime rain
Who needs light when stars shine brightly
Who needs more inspiration
With so much in nature to rely on
Life is a beautiful piece of art
And I won't waste a precious moment
To dive into its vast embraces
So many sensations
So much wasted
In the hours of the domineering day
Too many optical stimulations
To inhibit total body Revelations
The quietness of the night
helps me creatively visualize
Realizations of temporal significance
That leads to epheral enlightenment
Simple things scream to be found a new
Do you want to go like feet upon a concrete floor
Or a simple pad of paper on my lap
So many doors have welcomingly opened
Ghost become my friends
and urge each stroke from my pen
The Black ink matches the night
And I'm surprised
I can even see to write
If a ghost walks by
I'll just say " high "
And smile in his direction
We are friends, you see
The spirits in me
We're both children
Lightheartedly trotting through unknown places
My eyes grow heavy
And it's time to wind down
I'll see you all tomorrow back in town
