Moments in time

Job 7:1 New English Translation (NET Bible)

The Brevity of Life

“Does not humanity have hard service on earth?
Are not their days also like the days of a hired man?

"Every" day, for someone, a year has gone by here or there

Time moves at its own pace so no one can slow it down

Slowly stacking up in the inner and outer atmosphere

For some it is a race and for some an ageless crown

Reality is timeless as it passes slowly into history

Underdeveloped uncertainties drawing all attention

Thinking it to be thoughtlessly focused in on misery

As in an uncontrollable quantity itself always mentions

Being set free in-deed from our self-imposed jails

Roaming between the walls to protect us from another

Wishing all God’s speed out of habit without any fail

To show that our call will not get us any farther
