I know it to be but a memory
Still, I go searching into the fog
I am now a foreigner to this molten nightfall
Forgotten and tamed, a refugee in Oz
The moon hangs high in the glint of my eye
And I’ve missed this holy feeling
Maybe one day when my sentence is paid
And my fears are shunned and empty
I’ll return to the glow of the moon’s nightly show
And take back the passion I wished with once upon a star
