The Moment of (In)Sanity

There is a moment when everything fades to black.
It's seemingly slow climb into the depths.
I know that's an oxymoron.
People tell me I'm losing my sanity:
That's fine.
I'm not sure I want to be what they consider sane.
I have skipped the absurdity of an ascending descent to darkness,
And have chosen to be judged as I let light kiss my face
And my lips kiss the light.
