Mom

When you clutched me in your arms
I didn't just feel safe
I knew I could trust you
And that you'd help me be my best
You were always diligent
Through thick and thin
Like when you tried to teach me how to walk
I jumped right in and fell back down
But you helped me stand back up
You helped me try again
Though now we argue sometimes
Over ridiculously small things
You're still there for me
When I come crying saying I was wrong
And when I achieve something
You always there cheering
And I was never alone
However, right now I miss you
So much that it hurts right now
And I know you want the best for me
So mom, I'll do my best.
