Mom

Mom

The women whose love is so evident in life lessons, rights, and wrongs

the lesson that was most important was the lesson on how to be strong.

You wrap yourself in a ribbon of pink

Its effects evident by the hair left in the sink

Tears are hidden behind smiles and laughter

There is no one else I would rather model after

You have taught me its okay to not be okay

That despite the tears I’m strong anyway

Throughout hospital and doctor visits

There is so much strength you elicit

Of your courage envious I will always be

But your lessons mean the most to me

I know our time is limited and short

But I want to thank you for all the lessons, love, and support
