Mississippi Save Me

Mississippi, save me from going back North

Lock me down in Jackson

Don't let me go forth

Mississippi, don't let me leave the Magnolia of the Dixie

Chain me to these beautiful land and make me stay a southern gpyse

Mississippi, save me from those northern bells

Keep me in the promise land; where honky tonk angels go for a spell

Mississippi, save me from going back home

Hold me in this southern cradle where even the loneliest of the lonely don't feel so alone

Me
My family
