Missing Your Heart

I see your smile and your eyes glisten

Your body is in front of me, but your heart is missing

You say lets hand out and have a drink or two

But the words you never say is I love you

Your had is firm as you lead me to your bed

We spend a sweet moment together, but emotions are dead

Your drunken hugs last as long as you’re high

Once you are sober the embrace towards me dies

You give me a kiss, maybe even a peck

Not because we are making love, but because we are having sex

I miss your heart… I remember its beat

It would beat fast from slow when our bodies would meet

I miss that kiss that loved my lips

I miss your strong hand when it would slap my hips

I remember those words when you would say I’m your queen

I miss the love you gave me before you turned mean

As time goes by I see how you’ve changed

No matter how much I try things are never the same

I miss your heart when you would hold me at night

When we were a couple, we never would fight

You once cared and gave me your all

Now it’s doesn’t matter if I stand or I fall

I lost that spark that once lit your life

I can’t find your heart, it’s too far from the light

A flat line no pulse is what left for us now

I miss your heart, I want it back but I just don’t know how
