Misconceptions

"Everything was so much more appealing when I was first getting to know you. Sometimes I remember our first conversation and the fact that when I met you it seemed like 'wow what just happened will I regret this or will I not?'. You know people are so much prettier from afar. Because once I got passed your pretty you kind of just stripped down to a shriveled up soul that was only bound to tear away at other peoples'. And after that it was too late. I got sucked in too soon. I was blinded by everything I thought you were and once I got to know the person you really were, you turned out to be nothing that I had even expected. After I'd moved on, I told myself that it wasn't meant to be because you've changed, but really it's because from the very beginning I actually had no idea who you ever even were..."
