Miracle Child

Location

People were scared

People we frightened

Breathing became hard for my loved ones

Six hours turned into eight

And eight turned into thirteen

At the fourteenth hour, the surgeon announced all was complete

Friends and family were finally able to breathe

They rushed to my room all excited to see me

A miracle child

One in a thousand

Not many survive

But God was by my side

He helped me through it all

Many stitches, one big scar

A memory that stays in all my loved ones hearts

A surgery unexpected

Now four years later, I am stronger than ever

Tumor free, Cancer free

Never thought this would happen to me

I’m a miracle child

As strong as the death that did not defeat me
