Mine

Never did I think eyes so expressive

A nod so profound

Yet my heart filled with pride

As someone else gazed upon my Creation

Then up at me

Still and alert

A second passes

As a silent message, a Morse Code of the mind

Transfers from the blink of his eyelids

To the iris of my eyes

And I smile,

The warmth spreading across my chest, to my neck, arms, legs,

In between my toes and behind my ears

As I feel proud of what I’d created

And imagine what more I can do
