Middle School

I was young; I was stupid,

I was too busy chasing cupid.

I made mistakes,

And I was backstabbed by fakes.

I learned who was real and who was not,

I learned how easy it was to get caught.

I thought I was so cool and tough,

But it wasn’t long ‘til I had enough.

It became harder and harder each day.

So from many; I tried to stay away.

Girls were mean and rumors were spread,

Almost every day I began to dread.

People thought badly of me,

And soon I became the enemy.

I wanted it all to end,

So many messages I tried to send.

I knew if I didn’t let it show,

Then no one would ever know.

So I kept it all inside,

I didn’t want to lose my pride.

But soon enough,

I realized I WAS tough!

I never backed down,

And I never wore a frown.

Eventually they gave up,

They always give up!

And here I am; alive ~
