meteorite

Location

I fell for a meteorite

& I didn't even know it

until you said

I made your heart a fast clock,

because I didn't feel the same.

The beating in my chest is no more since

I left my heart

in the crook of your fingers folded under my chin-

You can keep it,

like shrapnel beneath your skin.

My heart is a ticking timebomb

(relit each time you blush).

This glass face is cracked

& my arms are twisted:

it is perenially eleven eleven with you.

God forbid I'm ever reset.
