Metaphors for the Poor

Horses are high heels that strut around with their heads held high, but for some reason they don't seem to notice the beautiful blue carnations that had just started to grow, now being crushed by the weight of their heels. The horse trots on still with its head lifted high to the windy air, not ever looking back as the flowers struggle to grow again.
