Memories of Summer '07 (Flaming Eyes)
The summer sun catches the glimpse of my eyes
Turning them into balls of fire reflecting inside me
The moist, but dry air comes from the west of where I live
The summer sky turning the sky into an ombre effect from the color pink to blue
The sweat from my hands as I write reflects the anticipation of my emotions
The hot air reminds me of my childhood as I played outside with my neighbor
Telling him that the sun is feeling warm this season
But as the season of summer fades, so does my flaming eyes
This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
Our world
