Memories In The Sky

Location

Thunder and lightning split the open sky.

I stand there watching.

As the rain drops pour down my face.

Like little tear drops wishing me luck.

As the water runs down I remember my past.

Full of memories of happiness and sadness.

Then the rain washes them away.

I’m stuck in the future with only one way to go.

I watch as the clouds pass me by.

Then the open night sky shows clear as a crystal.

The stars shine like tiny diamonds.

Each one holding a precious memory.

That will never be lost among the constellations.

For I remember when I was lonely and had nowhere to go.

Then I was chosen.

Knowing that this would lead me to a brighter future.

Now, here I stand reminiscing about my past.

Wondering will the future be better?
