Memories of Childhood 1: The rain

It is raining again

And suddenly my childhood memories

Are brought to life

I might as well enjoy the moment

Because like the rain it is only for awhile

It is raining again

I look around and see the smile

Of children playing in the rain

I must resist the rains beguile

For I have a task to complete

It is raining again

The raindrops on our roofs

Creates a melodious song

This song I use to know how serious the rain is

A sign to fill all the iron buckets

It is raining again

The iron buckets are pout

The clay pots are already filled

But I hear sighs of pain

From neighbors bound indoors by the rain
