The Me You Do Not See

Location

The me you see is not the real me

The cruelty of the world has pushed me into a shell

My shell is defined by my insecurities

I'm to tall, I'm fat, I'm ugly, I'm quiet

The world is to blame for this

People laugh at those you aren't socially accepted

But why aren't we accepted?

If you could see inside my shell

Past all my imperfections

You'd see a beautiful, courageous, out-going girl

You would see someone who stands up for what she believes in and for what's right

You would see a person who wants to be accepted

You'd see someone who isn't afraid to speak her mind

You would see the real me

My shell of insecurities was created by society

So can't you see?

The me you see is not the real me
