Me Myself and I
In the lonesome hours,
Of which three words apply,
Just me,
Myself,
And I
My daily solo ride,
Just me in this lonesome world.
In the morning it seems nobody's there, nobody cares,
Even God feels absent,
And its turned me to resent even the most beautiful sunrise,
I'll just turn over it's gleam with a yawn,
Watch it fade away,
Like the carelessness of yesterday.
Now with Summer rolling over like fog,
I'll just choke it like toxic smog,
A summer,
With no friends,
No life,
Now meaning nor purpose
Just Me, myself, and I
This poem is about:
Me
My community
My country
Our world
