math class taught me well

everyone always says
"you never learn
anything useful
in school."
but i beg to differ.
because if it weren't
for the formulas
that i learned in calculus,
i couldn't find the
slope of the curve
of your neck
that i long
to linger on.
thank god for
derivatives.
