Math

I hate math

I hear them say:

I'll just take an easy math class

I can't stand math!

But why?

Why do students hate math?

Why do letters mixed with numbers cause ridiculous dread?

X-squared plus Y-squared equals 2, we're going in circles

It is math that makes our world go round.

How many calories should I eat?

How much wood do I need?

How far is my lover?

How long does it take to get there?

How much blood pumps through my body?

How much can I live without?

Do I have enough money to make it by?

How much acetaminophen to make this headache say goodbye?

Goodbye is not what we should say to math. We need math to live.

Maybe let's not call it math. Lets call it the center of our human hive.

Math isn't hard; math is not just numbers and letters scrawled on a page;

Math is practical and we should teach it that way.

Math is practical and we all hold it near our heart, wether we believe it or not.
