Hiding behind that mask.
You seem so lonely.
Curled tight with nowhere to run.
They've caught you.

Hiding behind that mask.
You keep hiding.
Every second of the day.
Hiding.

Hiding behind that mask.
The raw opening is your heart.
I've seen it.
I've seen right through you.

Hiding behind that mask.
The masquerade,
Where no one is invited.
Your mask is happiness.

Hiding behind that mask.
You are cold like ice.
With no escape, you are STRIPPED.
Your mask is gone.

Can't hide behind that mask.
You are exposed.
You can't cover yourself anymore.
No more hiding.

Can't hide behind that mask.
The mask was escape.
The mask was safety.
The mask was a life without harassment.

Can't hide behind that mask.
Exposed,
you crumble,
Only to be built back up.

Can't hide behind that mask.
The mask is pushed.
The mask is pulled.
The mask is no longer a mask.

Can't hide when there's no mask.
