Mask Shattering

She wears a mask to hide all the emotions
she doesn't want you to see.
Hurt, pain, shame, despair, sorrow, loneliness,
misery, coldness and her rage.

But you can't see that. All you see is a mask
that shows you happiness, joy, independent,
capability, friendly, alert, graceful and warmth.
But if you look closely, her mask is beginning to crack.

Giving away her dark terrifying colors.
By day the mask cracks and you see less
of the one you think you know. By night
she is trying her hardest to repair what is breaking.

But you can't stop a glass from
shattering once it has a crack.
So how can you hope to stop her from breaking
once she has already started to break?

Will you just stand back and watch her shatter
and break down into a million pieces?
Or will you be the brave person and try to mend
what will eventually break?

For you must surely know now that once a glass has a crack in it,
it soon looses its purpose and becomes thrown out.
It begins leaking and and soon after too much pressure is exerted
it will shatter. Harming those it is around.
