Manic

Location

It's not just a phase

I won't just get over it

Ignoring it doesn't make it go away

When my heart is lead

And sighs are heavier than granite

I can't flip a switch and stop

This is a part of me

I may not like it

And you don't have to understand it

But acknowledge it

That things won't get better

They are barely manageable

Dragging me down and haunting my thoughts

My hands are glued to my sides so that they can't hurt me

My feet are weighed down so they don't jump

You can't know how it feels

To be a visitor in your own head

So don't ever

Say

You do.
