The man within

Location

As a young boy he was afraid of the world. Scared to try, to spread his wings and fly. Though he had friends and a good family, he was shy though not knowing why. Nevertheless his parents pushed him, for they loved him. When growing up he did not hide from the bullies, instead he showed his pride. Then one day he went to middle school. He was a stranger in a new land, while his old crew of friends seemed to disband. The people there were rude, spewed mean words like a crude dam breaking. The young adolescent was made fun of, he became sad then mad. Due to a strange accent, everyone decided to comment. After awhile he decided to change his lifestye. He no longer cared what others thought, when this happened, he was no longer distraught. As expected he made it through the awkward days of middle school, anchored by the thought of better days. Better days did come yet he was faced with a new conundrum. The high school days had arrived. With new friends at his side, he strode into high school feeling certified.  These years passed him by, yet he still had to spread his wings and fly. The young man has now been reflecting, thinking of the times he has been neglecting. Though he has tried many things in high school, he is regretful of opportunities that were wasted. Though he is sad, he is also glad, of all the experiences he has had.  Learning these things has made him who he is, and brought out the man within.
