To The Man I Saw With The Sign

Dear Homeless Veteran,

Don't give up,

Keep it up.

Just words

Much easier said than done.

Here's the thing though,

They wouldn't be said if it weren't true.

You can do it

You have done it.

Tell your story

Share your words.

Let people feel what you feel

Be real.

Pray to God because He is listening

He's kept you alive

He loves you

So don't stop loving you.

Don't stop fighting.

Carry on and carry strong.

I'm sorry the cournty you fought for has let you down.

I'm sorry you feel like it's time to drown.

But don't fade yet, there's more to your story yet.

Keep the bravery strong within you.

Carry the ones you've lost and bring them glory.

Show this country that let you rot

That you are here and should not

be ignored or left behind.

Without you, where would we be?

That's a scary thought.

So to you, who fought-

Keep fighting.

Love,

Someone Who Saw You
