The Machine

Location

I know you wish I were more human.
I know you wish I were not so much of a machine.
But my brain is clouded with clockworks and gizmos,
With electrical impulses, ones and zeros,
My heart a coolant system running at subzero,
The green in my eyes is from the over drive,
Processing at speeds with which you can't comply,
Yet my only wish is to never see you cry,
I search for a logical answer, I try and I try,
But you'll never know how difficult,
As I exhaust all resources; my boards are choked,
I run back through the codes she wrote,
Scouring each line for the antidote,
To cure your sadness, it must be here,
The circuits are racing to make it clear,
Alas I am just a machine,
I was never meant to dream,
Or even to be what it is you need,
Girl this boy you love is just a machine.
