Ma Cherie, My Serenade

The sweetest of kisses linger within this space,
and
the coolest of touches,
yield to a veil of gray waters.
Ma Cherie,
I'm suffocating
on fog so dense, I can no-longer
make you out.

So,call out to me,
ma  Cherie.

Sing a song to entrap tides,
and silence the capricious winds
of this time.
For
by dawns time we all shall return to
morn.

Alas, dew drops still gather,
giving more
sepia oceans a place here.
But,
I do not wish for
a drowning misery,
a suffocating goodbye.
All I want, Ma Cherie,
is the touch
of pale-pink rose lips…
the whisper of cool,
sweet-sing-song,
upon my neck.

Ma Cherie, if you must,
tear into me a cold so deep and harsh,
that it takes my flesh.
For all I want, Ma Cherie,
is that sweet angel's voice.
Thus, Entrap me so tightly
within
a veil of smiles,
and a halo
of yellow light.
For though
the sea between you and I
is temperate,
the memory of your serenade is not.

In all the years I've drowned,
tasting your tender wine,
I've never felt no warmth as
grand as yours.
So,
upon my tomb
kiss my heavy-lidded eyes
with your dew…
kiss upon my lips,
the radiance of your word…
and fill me with
an eternal promise,
that no matter,
how many times
the wind bewilders and blows,
you'll
never cease
being mine.
Ma Cherie, Je t'aime.
