Lovely Lady

Lovely Lady, why do you sob still?

Is it because he has broken your will?

Ripped the bones from your body,

and made a cage out of them to hang from his chain;

A horrific sense of ownership.

Lovely Lady, has this

Blissful

Baleful

Bondage

kept you prisoner to this relationship?

Oh but my dear, you are better than this.

You are more than a fleeting star’s wish.

Love, you are light itself.

You are the Spring’s blossoms and all of its wealth.

You deserve the chance to feel the sand between your toes.

You are worth dancing with the tide as it comes and goes.

Paint all of your sunsets blood orange with speckled splotches of purple hues.

See, this is the real you.

Collect your hallowed tears and string them like pearls

And in time of darkness, let them hang and illuminate for the world.
