Love from the start

Location

Dreams run anew
fresh In my mind
as I think of you

Your words three
had frightened me
and here I lay, day by day
to avoid your heart-wrenching gaze

Those simple words confuse me
I thought I knew what they meant
as I lost and won some,
for today my love is nearly spent

I refuse to see you, I refuse to know you
but here you stay
unwilling to leave and in my way

My hate towered as a wall
hoping that someday your love for me would fall.
But there you stood, waiting
whispering those words three to my heart
and behind that wall I came to realize
I had loved you from the start...
